I didn't plan to become a REALTOR®
I spent 34 years behind a desk in accounting. Good at the work, but spending most of my days alone in an office while life happened somewhere else. I got my license on a bit of a whim, my husband was getting his, I'd always liked looking at houses, and I thought I might sell a couple a year on the side.
What I didn't expect was how much I'd love it.
The moment I started meeting people, something clicked. First-time buyers who didn't think they could do it. Families relocating to a place they'd never lived. People in their fifties, starting over, not quite sure what that looked like yet. Clients scraping together a down payment for their very first home, and clients buying a second home on Lake Murray they'd dreamed about for years. Every one of them brought a different story, and I got to be part of how it turned out.
That's still what drives me. Not the transactions, but the people inside them. I bring the same discipline and attention to detail I built over three decades of accounting, but what gets me out of bed in the morning is the conversation at the kitchen table, the moment someone walks into the right house and just knows, the phone call months later saying thank you.
I've never once wished I'd stayed at the desk.
Outside the Office
When I'm not showing houses, you'll usually find me at the gym, on a pickleball court, or trying to keep up with my Border Collie, who would play fetch 24 hours a day if her legs would allow it. My husband and I are slowly working our way through every National Park in the country, it's one of our favorite excuses to travel.
I believe in showing up for my health the same way I show up for my clients: consistently, and without skipping the hard days.
