The Daily Blend
Lexington, SC
A locally owned açaí and smoothie cafe at Lexington Square
The Daily Blend is run by Julianna and Collen Wallace, a husband-and-wife team, Lexington natives, and parents of three. If you have lived around here a while, you might have met them before you ever tasted their food. They are the couple behind the Edible Cookie Dough food truck that made the rounds at local events, and plenty of the people who stood in that line have followed them right to this counter.
Julianna talked about bringing açaí bowls to Lexington for years. She wanted her hometown to have a proper superfruit bowl, made fresh, without driving halfway across town for it. When she and Collen opened The Daily Blend in January 2026 at Lexington Square, that wish came with the whole family behind it. The idea is simple, and you can feel it the second you walk in: give this community a healthier sweet treat that still tastes like a treat.
The menu is short on purpose. Superfruit açaí bowls blended thick and topped with fresh berries, banana, granola, and coconut. Smoothies that taste like dessert and are not one. Loaded toasts that go well past a piece of bread. Everything is made to order at 5230 Sunset Blvd, Suite F, in the Lexington Square center near Lowe's Foods, and the line moves. It is open every single day at 7 AM, which catches the commuter crowd heading up Sunset Boulevard and the after-school crowd too.
For me, this is the kind of small, everyday spot that tells you what a town is made of. When someone is relocating to the Midlands and wondering whether Lexington really fits, I want them to know the answer is places like this one: locally owned, run by people who grew up here, and serving something good at an hour that actually works. That sort of thing is hard to put on a map, but it is exactly why people stay.
What to Order
Start with a superfruit açaí bowl, because that is the reason most people find the place. The base is thick, the toppings are generous, and it eats like a meal. If you want something lighter, the berry smoothies are the move, and the green ones are less of a treat and more of a reset.
The loaded toasts cover the savory side. Think smashed avocado, tomato, and seasoning on thick toast, the kind of thing that looks like it belongs at a brunch spot but costs what a weekday breakfast should.
And if you are new to Lexington and wondering what the fuss is about, go on a weekday morning. The counter is friendlier before the weekend crowd, and you will see how quick the whole thing is. In, out, and on your way before the smoothie has a chance to separate.
Go Early, Bring a Spoon

Own a local business in the Midlands?
I am always looking for good local businesses to spotlight in Irmo, Chapin, Lexington, and around Columbia. The kind of places I actually go to and genuinely tell people about. If you run a shop, a restaurant, or a service that makes this area feel like home, I would like to hear from you.
